Our Favorite VT Hikes

We spend a lot of time talking about fitness inside the gym… but some of the best ways to use it happen outside.

Getting outside isn’t just ‘nice to do.’ It’s one of the simplest ways to clear your head, reduce stress, and feel better overall. And even if you’ve never hiked before, you’re more capable than you think. This is exactly the kind of thing we’re building you up for at CFB.

If you’re looking to get out there a bit more, here are a few of our favorite local hikes:

Mount Philo State Park: This one is short, but conveniently located. What Philo lacks in distance it makes up for with beautiful views! If you want a little extra challenge, try lapping it.

• Camel’s Hump: The iconic Vermont peak. You’ve definitely seen its shape from around Chittenden County. A bit more of a push, but n absolute must-do.

• Mount Mansfield: Vermont’s highest peak. Multiple ways up depending on your vibe… and if you want something tough, Hellbrook Trail will give you that.

• Stowe Pinnacle: Not super intense, but some of the best views for the effort. A great go-to if you’re limited on time.

• Mount Hunger: Good effort, great payoff, usually a bit quieter.

• Mount Abraham: Longer day, big views. One of the best summits around.

At the end of the day, this is what it’s about: having the ability to go out and do things like this and actually enjoy them.

If you’re new to hiking, take a few minutes to read up on the trail, bring what you need, and don’t forget water. A little prep goes a long way.
