Strength and Conditioning for Every Athlete. Rooted in Community.
We meet athletes exactly where they’re at and build individualized pathways toward greater strength, confidence, independence, and meaningful progress. No matter the starting point, every athlete deserves the opportunity to grow, and at CFB, we make sure they can.
CFB Adaptive was created to remove barriers and open doors. We are building a training environment that honors each athlete’s abilities, needs, and goals.
Who CFB Adaptive Is For
Individuals with spinal cord injuries or mobility limitations, ambulatory athletes who use bracing, orthotics, or assistive devices, wheelchair users, athletes with cerebral palsy, a history of stroke, or other neuromuscular conditions, individuals with Down syndrome, autism, or other intellectual or developmental disabilities, athletes who benefit from additional structure, coaching, or individualized instruction, and anyone seeking an inclusive, empowering fitness environment designed around their needs.
What Athletes Can Expect
Adaptive coaching tailored to physical, neurological, or cognitive needs, clear structure and a predictable class flow, functional training that supports daily living and independence, strength development across all major movement patterns, opportunities for social connection and community engagement, a respectful and uplifting environment, and a fun, supportive, community-centered class experience.
Benefits of the Program
Improved mobility, balance, and coordination, increased strength and endurance, better motor control and movement confidence, greater independence with daily tasks, a supportive social network and strong sense of community, and clear progressions that lead to measurable growth and personal wins.
Coaching Approach
Our coaches are trained to work with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities. We break movements down into manageable steps, use visual, verbal, tactile, and environmental cues, adapt equipment and adjust intensity appropriately, prioritize safety, dignity, and success in every session, and focus on functional patterns—including pushing, pulling, squatting, hinging, carrying, rotating, and locomotion—always scaled to the athlete’s ability.
